Assumptions & checks
Piece counts estimate repeating rectangular modules, including joints. Interlocking shapes, borders and patterns need product coverage data and an allowance for cuts.
Base and sand allowances are separate from paver waste. Depth presets are examples, not a structural or drainage design.

Frequently asked questions
Are joints included in the paver count?
Yes. The estimator adds one joint width to both paver face dimensions to form a repeating module. Boundary joints and cut pieces are approximated, so check your layout and manufacturer's coverage.
Does paver waste also increase the gravel base?
No. The base and sand use their own depth and volume allowances. Paver waste applies only to pieces, so material layers are not silently inflated by a cutting allowance.
