Multiple-Carton CBM Calculator

Build a shipment from multiple carton sizes. Each row keeps its own units, quantity and optional weight, so you can total volume without converting an entire packing list by hand.

Change any input to update the calculation. Unit changes preserve the physical quantity.

Calculation breakdown

Carton A
0.03 m³/carton × 10 = 0.3 m³ · 50 kg

Assumptions & checks

Volume is the sum of external carton cubes. It does not prove container fit or determine carrier chargeable weight, tariffs or dimensional-weight rules.

Formula

Carton dimensions describe external shipping volume; quantities are whole cartons.

CBM/carton = L×W×H (metres); CBM/row = CBM/carton×quantity; total = Σ row volumes; weight = Σ(weight/carton×quantity); density = total weight/total CBM

Worked example

Using the default values shown in the calculator, the same formula gives the following result. This is a quick sanity check for the calculation, not a design recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Can rows use different units?

Yes. Every row is converted independently to metres and kilograms before summing. A row in inches can be combined safely with a row in centimetres.

What if I do not know every carton weight?

The volume and carton count still calculate. Known weight is listed separately; total shipment weight and density are withheld until every row has a weight.
